Mark Kenderdine-Davies is general counsel and company secretary of CDC Group plc (CDC). CDC is a development finance institution owned by the UK Government, which manages £2.7 billion. Its current investment programme focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. It also has investments in China , Central/Latin America and South East Asia . As at 30 September 2010, CDC had committed capital to 136 emerging market funds/holding companies managed by 67 fund managers and indirectly, to 918 underlying portfolio companies.
Mark joined CDC in October 2006 from Gartmore Investment Management plc where he focused on alternative investment. Prior to that, he was legal counsel at Threadneedle Asset Management Limited. From 1994 to 2002, Mark worked in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as general counsel/senior investment executive at Indochina Asset Management Limited and as an executive director of an investment company.
Mark has an LLB (Hons) from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
Mark is admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
